**Paula's Great Grandsire

Cor de la bryere was a stallion with great presence, good frame, and an energetic masculine expression. He had a great face with a quiet eye.  He was known for clearing fences with ease.  He was a well used stallion and is looked very favorably upon in today's old line breeding of athletic horses with scope.

"Corde" had a triumphal reign in Holstein like no other stallion before or after him. His progeny gained influence in all German breeds and naturally also on an international level. He established a significant dynasty with progeny Caletto I, II and II, as well as Calypso I to V, who proved themselves both in breeding and in competition sport. On a regional level, approved stallions Corrado I and Cordalmé Z caused a sensation in international jumping. In 1998 Cor de la Bryère celebrated his 30th birthday. His sons, grandsons and great-grandsons came from all over Europe on this occasion, to Elmshorn in his honor. The Cor de la Bryère daughters too, including such super mares as Costa 5 and Cordeka, the full-sister of the stallions Caletto I-II.
